We here at MirrorFly strive to be the best in-app communication suite and so we continuously enhance our SDKs across all platforms. This time around we have come up with a significant update that we are delighted to share. The latest update to our React Native SDK now includes the much awaited one-to-one video calling feature.

What Improvements Have Mirrorfly Made to the SDK?

Addressing the ever increasing demand for taking communication to the next level, our latest update now comes along with one-on-one video call functionality.

1. Peer-to-Peer Real-Time Video Conferencing

With our enhanced SDKs for React Native, users can connect face-to-face by initiating or receiving crystal-clear video calls seamlessly within the app. This cutting-edge feature ensures seamless connections and secure conversations, bringing a more personal touch to your interactions.

2. Dynamic Video Source Management

Users can dynamically select between the front-facing and rear-facing cameras on their device. This enables them to seamlessly switch between self-view and environmental capture, catering to diverse communication scenarios. Furthermore, the API grants programmatic control over camera activation, allowing users to disable video transmission entirely during a call, prioritizing audio-only communication when desired.

3. Media Stream Switching & Audio Management

The enhanced SDK leverages a robust media stream control API, enabling seamless transitions between audio-only and video modes during a call. Users can programmatically switch between transmitting solely their audio feed or their combined audio and video stream, catering to evolving communication needs. Additionally, the API provides granular control over microphone activation, allowing users to mute or unmute their microphone on the fly. This empowers participants to adapt their communication style based on the context of the conversation, fostering a more dynamic and efficient user experience.

MirrorFly prioritizes user experience by integrating picture-in-picture (PiP) functionality. This feature leverages sophisticated video rendering techniques, allowing users to minimize the video call window while maintaining its functionality. This would empower users to multi-task seamlessly, accessing other applications on their device without interrupting the ongoing video call.
